In 2008, you trusted me with your vote to be your voice in the Georgia House of Representatives. I have delivered for you, just as promised.

In my 2008 campaign I pledged to:

•Oppose tax increases

•Stop the wasteful spending of our hard earned tax dollars

•Support small businesses to help them grow and add new jobs

•Support agriculture and our farmers

•Promote stronger ethics legislation

Over the last two legislative sessions I have done exactly as I promised you.  I stood strong, sometimes even against my own Republican leadership, to stop wasteful spending and oppose all new tax increases. I supported legislation that will help our small businesses survive these tough times and eventually expand to create new jobs, and I proudly fought for our farmers to support agriculture in Georgia.  Perhaps most importantly, I strongly supported tough new ethics laws to restore the public’s trust in our state government.

This is a proven record of conservative leadership that you can continue to trust and support in this election and beyond.

With your continued support, these are the priorities I will focus on in the coming legislative sessions.

Helping Small Businesses Grow And Create New Jobs

President Obama is WRONG! Government does not create jobs. Small businesses create jobs. That’s why I will continue to work hard to keep taxes low, cut excessive regulation and help our businesses overcome this downturn and grow again.

Making Government Live Within Its Means

As your Representative, I consistently opposed all tax increases, supported a balanced budget, and supported a new budgeting measure called “zero based budgeting” to force every agency to justify all of its spending. That legislation was unfortunately vetoed, but I will support it again next session and demand more efficiency and accountability from our government agencies. I also led the common sense effort to require welfare recipients to be drug tested so our hard earned tax dollars aren’t wasted on drugs. I will continue to lead this fight.
